Gladstone West State School had a visit from Robogals UQ today. Students from year 5 and year 6 were selected to attend the 1 hour long robotics workshop.

The aim of Robogals is to inspire, engage and empower students to pursue Engineering and STEM. They hold hands-on and interactive workshops for schools, libraries and other venues throughout Queensland. These workshops predominantly use Lego Mindstorms EV3 robots to get kids involved with problem solving and engineering. Our workshop leaders and volunteers, who are of all genders, act as role models to the students, demonstrating gender diversity in action.
